CoP Meter Cabinet Installation

Building owners have a legal responsibility to install a relevant Code of Practice metering cabinet on a premises where a new connection (either Low Voltage or High Voltage) is required before the primary meter(s) can be installed.

Custom Energy Solutions is able to install cabinets compliant with Code of Practice 2, 3 and 5, together with associated wiring and commissioning, including the CT testing.

Different codes of practice require different cabinet installations depending on the load. The cabinets are designed for locations drawing more than 100kW of electricity per annum and required to install half-hourly metering. The panels provide a safe enclosure for suitable MID (Metering Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC) approved meters and current transformers.

Once installed, the metering panel can be connected to a local Metered Supply Point (MSP) from where it will provide accurate local profiling and automated meter readings.
